Looking for: Social Media Manager

Role Overview:

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Manager to help establish and grow a personal brand across YouTube, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter). This role focuses on transforming existing educational content into visually engaging social media assets, creating a consistent brand presence, and supporting the launch and growth of a content-driven online platform.

The ideal candidate is highly skilled in content presentation, graphic design, and video editing, with the ability to repurpose written content into compelling formats without requiring extensive content creation from scratch.

Scope of Work, the Social Media Manager will be responsible for:

  • Repurposing existing educational text content into engaging social media graphics and videos.
  • Designing branded visual content using the client’s existing materials.
  • Creating and editing:
    • YouTube Shorts
    • Short-form videos for LinkedIn and X
    • Long-form YouTube videos (typically 5–10 minutes maximum)
  • Developing a cohesive visual identity and brand guide to ensure consistency across all platforms.
  • Creating branded templates for graphics, thumbnails, and video layouts.
  • Enhancing YouTube thumbnails using the client’s photos when appropriate.
  • Formatting and adapting content for each platform while maintaining consistent messaging.
  • Supporting the client’s transition from a business-focused brand to a personal brand.
  • Assisting with social media strategy by providing recommendations on:
    • Personal branding
    • Content presentation
    • Platform optimization
    • Content performance improvements
  • Reviewing analytics and identifying opportunities to improve engagement and reach.
  • Organizing existing content into a structured publishing workflow.

Qualifications, the ideal candidate should have:

  • Proven experience managing social media for professional or educational brands.
  • Strong graphic design skills.
  • Experience editing both short-form and long-form videos.
  • Knowledge of YouTube content optimization, including thumbnails and video formatting.
  • Experience building cohesive brand identities and visual guidelines.
  • Ability to repurpose written content into visually engaging social media assets.
  • Understanding of personal branding and educational content marketing.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Ability to work independently and provide strategic recommendations when needed.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Tools Required, preferred proficiency in:

  • Canva (required)
  • CapCut or similar video editing software
  • YouTube Studio
  • LinkedIn
  • X (Twitter)
  • Experience with additional content creation and social media management tools is an advantage.

Shifts & Hours

  • Initial engagement through a 20-hour short-term package.
  • Valid for seven working days; flexible working hours.
  • Opportunity to transition into an ongoing part-time engagement if the collaboration is successful.
